The Micro SD format was originally created by SanDisk. It was originally called T-Flash and thenTransFlash before being re-named Micro SD when adopted by the SD Card Association. Micro-SD cards come in capacities of 512MB, 1GB & 2GB. The format is currently supported primarily by mobile phone manufacturers, including Kyocera, Motorola and Samsung.MicroSD cards can be used in secure digital (SD) compatible devices via the included adapter.
